What the deshedding groom includes
Everything in your chosen groom, plus the deshedding treatment: a specialist undercoat shampoo and conditioner, a thorough high-velocity blow-out that lifts the dead undercoat, undercoat raking with proper tools, and a finishing brush-through. With a Basic Groom the total starts at AED 240; with a Full Groom, at AED 315. Deshedding, not shaving: why we refuse to shave double coats
Shaving a double coat feels logical in a Dubai summer. It is the worst thing you can do. The double coat is insulation. It keeps the heat out in summer as well as holding warmth in. Shave it and the coat often grows back patchy, the skin burns more easily, and the shedding you wanted to stop gets worse. Deshedding removes the dead undercoat and keeps the protective guard coat. Your dog stays cooler, and your home stays cleaner.

What is deshedding, exactly?
A deshedding groom removes the loose undercoat before it ends up on your sofa. We use a proper undercoat bath, a high-velocity blow-out and undercoat tools. It is not a haircut and it is never a shave.
Which dogs need it?
Double-coated breeds shed the most in Dubai: Huskies, Golden Retrievers, Labradors, German Shepherds, Corgis, Pomeranians and Shibas. Thick-coated cats like Maine Coons get the same treatment as part of our cat service.
Why will you not just shave my Husky?
Shaving a double coat damages it, ruins its insulation against the Dubai heat, and often makes shedding worse when it grows back. We de-shed instead: the undercoat comes out, the guard coat stays.
How often should we do it?
Heavy shedders do best every six to eight weeks, all year round in Dubai. We can hold a regular slot for you, so it is booked before you have to think about it.
How much does it cost?
Deshedding is AED 70 on top of any groom: with a Basic Groom from AED 240 all-in, with a Full Groom from AED 315 all-in, depending on size. VAT included, no call-out fee. We confirm the exact price on WhatsApp before booking.
